This website, books-not-boms.com (along with all translated versions of which hereafter referred to as the "Site") is operated by Students Organize for Syria ("SOS" or "We" or "Us"). SOS is committed to protecting your personal information. Unless you agree otherwise, we will only use your email address for communication about the work of The Books Not Bombs Campaign or issues related it. We promise not to clog your inbox - we aim for just one or two emails a month to keep in touch and let you know about developments, and how you can take action. You can unsubscribe at any time.

    • 6.1 When you sign a petition, your name, as well as your status ("Student" or "Alumnus" or "Faculty" or "State Resident") may be presented to the university's administration for which you signed a petition.
    • 6.2 Information submitted on this site may be shared with the campaign sponsors including Students Organize For Syria, STAND, The Syria Campaign, and Karam Foundation.
    • 6.3 Unless the user opts out, information submitted here may be re-entered on a Change.org petition for the same purpose.
    • 6.4 We may use carefully selected agents to process your information on our behalf, such as software providers to host the website. Such third parties will only be authorised to use your information to fulfil their contractual obligations to us and will not be permitted to use it for any other purpose. We retain full responsibility for how your personal information may be used by such agents.
